In June 2016, representatives of the NBS and Mish International Monetary Inc. commenced preliminary talks about the possibilities for commercial cooperation in the project of manufacturing a series of silver and gold coins of different size and quality dedicated to Nikola Tesla.

NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic and Mish International Monetary Inc. President Robert Mish signed the Framework Agreement establishing the numismatics program on February 5, 2018, the result of which was the manufacturing of both bullion and collector coins with the portrait of Nikola Tesla. Each issue showcases one of his innovative technologies.

The coins are struck in .999 pure silver and carry a denomination of 100 Dinara.

Issue #1 "Alternating Current" 2018 had a mintage of 35,485 business strikes ("BU") and 3327 Proofs.
Issue #2 "Remote Control" 2019 tallied 20,059 BU and 2090 Proofs.
Issue #3 "X-Rays" 2020 featured 19,812 BU and 369 Proofs.
Issue #4 "Free Energy" 2021 was finalized at 9,340 BU and 369 Proofs.
Issue #5 "Ozone Generator" 2022 was finalized at 9008 BU and 369 Proofs.
Issue #6 "The Secret of the Universe" 2023 finalized at 9,631 BU and 369 Proofs.
Issue #7 "Anti-Gravity" 2023 was finalized at 8,258 BU and 369 Proofs.
Issue #8 "The Tesla Coil" 2023 was finalized at 7,860 BU and 369 Proofs.
Issue #9 "Direct Energy Weapon" 2024 count was 4,069 BU and 369 Proofs.
Issue #10 "Hydroelectric Power" 2024 minted 5,610 BU and 369 Proofs.

The production of all issues are preceded by 33 brass and 27 copper test strikes. These are submitted in the minting sequence to NGC for authentication and quality grading before presentation to dignitaries, media, and friends of the program.

Each of the first 100 BU and proof coins for every issue have been certified, numbered and graded by NGC in sequential order of striking. These are highly prized and seldom on the market.

Starting in 2023, the program moved from one coin per year to three coins, recognizing Nikola Tesla's concepts of threes and enabling the series to move its way through the hundreds of Teslas inventions, patents and visions.

As the series grows, its collectibility may lead to premium value growth for the early issues, special mintings and limited proofs.
